About David Gillert

Independent developer, technology problem-solver, and practical builder based in Sparta, Wisconsin.

I'm David Gillert, a developer and technology problem-solver based in Sparta, Wisconsin. I spent more than a decade in professional IT support and programming, building and maintaining practical systems with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, hardware, and business technology.

My work in both technology and railroad operations has reinforced the same standard: systems should be reliable, understandable, secure, and built for the people who actually use them. I also volunteer with church AV and IT infrastructure and continue developing websites and tools for businesses, organizations, and community projects.

I work directly with every client. My goal is to understand the real problem, recommend an honest scope, build a maintainable solution, and leave you in control of your website, data, and vendor accounts.

01

Practical over flashy

The design should support the purpose. I favor clear interfaces, understandable workflows, and technology that can be maintained after launch.

02

Honest scope

I will explain what is required, what is optional, and what may be better handled by another specialist rather than selling work that does not fit.

03

Ownership and handoff

Client accounts and data should remain client-controlled. Deliverables, access, and next steps should be clear at the end of the project.

04

Reliability

My background in technology and operations has made documentation, testing, security, and dependable handoff part of the work—not afterthoughts.

My mission

Build practical, maintainable technology; communicate honestly; and leave every client with a solution they understand and control.

Work directly with me

Bring the problem. I will help define the right next step.

A good engagement starts with clear goals, honest constraints, and an approach everyone understands.
